Your Role

We are in search of a dynamic Lead Technical Program Strategist with a proven track record in managing technically intricate New Product Development (NPD) and Sustainment initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional leaders, including product stakeholders, engineering teams, manufacturing, supply chain, services, sales, and various other participants to strategize and implement projects. Your main objective will be to ensure alignment among teams, effective execution of plans, and proficient management of issues and risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide multidisciplinary teams in transitioning new products from conception through to implementation, delivery, and ongoing support.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering managers and product leads to guarantee swift execution and timely, high-quality delivery of complex projects.
  • Inspire and motivate talented engineering teams across diverse locations, leveraging their energy to produce exceptional products.
  • Promote a culture of transparency, rapid decision-making, and synchronized collaboration within product teams.
  • Facilitate the resolution of challenges, risks, and issues that arise throughout the development lifecycle, including NPD/R&D processes, production deployment, and sustainment.
  • Oversee cross-functional issue tracking to identify problems, analyze root causes, and implement corrective action plans; provide status updates across engineering teams and leadership.
  • Ensure adherence to Symbotic's Product Lifecycle Management process, coaching teams in executing the NPD process and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement of new standards, processes, and procedures that enhance interactions and communication across teams.
  • Conduct cross-functional meetings and regularly communicate initiative status to teams, senior management, and clients.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, product management, sales, and finance to ensure robust and optimized project plans for each initiative.
  • Act as the project lead representing Symbotic to our customers, ensuring clear communication, effective negotiation, and resolution of any obstacles to success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is advantageous.
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years in a Program Management role.
  • Extensive experience in highly integrated electro-mechanical systems, mechatronics, or robotics product development teams.
  • Proven experience leading user-centered innovation programs across various disciplines.
  • Experience managing large-scale system integration and testing programs for complex electro-mechanical or automation systems.
  • A willingness to embrace failure as a learning opportunity to expedite successful outcomes.
  • Strong team player with excellent conflict resolution and influencing skills.
  • Open-minded approach to problem-solving, valuing diverse perspectives.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
  • Experience negotiating resources in a matrix environment, setting clear priorities across multiple workstreams.
  • Familiarity with working alongside contract manufacturing partners and consultants.
  • Respect and understanding of various disciplines, including Controls, Software, Design Engineering, Systems, Electronics, Quality, and Manufacturing.
  • Proficient in JIRA, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Word, and Visio.
  • PMP accreditation is a significant advantage.
