Maintenance Technician I

Position Overview:

The individual in this role will engage in both preventive and predictive maintenance tasks. This encompasses diagnosing issues and executing basic repairs across plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC-R, kitchen apparatus, and various facility infrastructures. Under the guidance of the Facilities Shift Supervisor and Facilities Shift Manager, the individual will also respond to all general maintenance service requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Comply with all safety protocols and participate in ongoing training to ensure a secure working environment for all team members and guests.
  2. Foster an environment that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock International for their entertainment needs; actively build and maintain guest relationships while mentoring team members to deliver exceptional service.
  3. Oversee the maintenance, upkeep, and repair of the facility.
  4. Safely ascend ladders up to 30 feet to conduct routine inspections of rooftops.
  5. Respond promptly to maintenance service requests.
  6. Assist with event setups and breakdowns in a safe and timely manner, moving furniture and equipment as required.
  7. Utilize the Computer Maintenance Management System to generate service requests and document daily work activities, completing all assigned work orders based on priority.
  8. Help maintain appropriate inventory levels and order parts and materials as necessary.
  9. Conduct required drills and inspections; maintain technical logs and document all relevant data as needed.
  10. Install and repair doors, furniture, office partitions, flooring, and other carpentry-related items.
  11. Prepare drywall for painting and execute painting and staining of walls, furniture, and other related items.
  12. Perform basic repairs and preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC-R, kitchen equipment, and other operational systems.
  13. Carry out additional duties as assigned while adhering to all relevant regulations and departmental standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Typically, this knowledge and skill set are acquired through a High School Diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of three years of maintenance experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must obtain and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications as mandated by Federal, State, and relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required.
  • Must pass a drug screening.
  • Applicants must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Availability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts is essential.
  • Drivers of company vehicles must possess a valid driver's license and meet the standards outlined in the Motor Vehicle Permit Application.
  • Prior experience in launching new properties or outlets is strongly preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Familiarity with machines and equipment, including basic hand and power tools, spray equipment, etc.
  • Understanding of safe handling of hazardous materials.
  • HVAC certification is preferred.

Abilities:

  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and schedules as needed.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of employees and guests.
  • Ability to operate aerial lifts, trucks, and light motorized equipment.
  • Follow both oral and written instructions.
  • Exhibit exceptional guest service skills.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.
