Job Summary

Visionary Recruiting Solutions is seeking a skilled Structural Steel Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial Division, you will be responsible for providing accurate steel takeoffs and estimates for our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Review design drawings to perform steel takeoffs and identify steel requirements.
  • Work with the Estimating Manager to apply budgeted hours and create a bid.
  • Understand steel requirements and specifications for detailing, purchasing, engineering, erection, scheduling, fabrication, coatings, and shipping.
  • Identify potential issues that may arise during a project and develop solutions.
  • Arrange for bids relating to subcontracted requirements.
Requirements
  • Experience in reading and understanding design drawings, erection drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
  • 5 years or more of experience as an estimator or project manager.
  • Experience in steel detailing is highly desirable.
  • 2 years or more of experience with software programs such as Excel, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Tekla.
