About the Role:

Gentiva is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Aide to join our team. As a Hospice Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing, in a safe and respectful manner.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, promoting a sense of comfort and well-being.
  • Monitor and report any changes in patients' condition to the nursing staff, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as meal preparation and laundry, to maintain a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Help patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times and promoting independence.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care activities, adhering to company standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in patient care or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
