Position Summary
Join a diverse and inclusive organization dedicated to enhancing the health and wellness of the communities we serve. The Staffing Response Team (SRT) at UNC REX and Holly Springs Hospitals plays a crucial role in ensuring effective patient care through adaptable staffing solutions. As a member of this team, you will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services. This is a temporary position expected to last approximately three months.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Care Management: Ensure that appropriate care and services are accessible to patients and their families. Foster interdisciplinary collaboration in care planning and guarantee suitable clinical staffing and skill mix for optimal patient care. Supervise a team of healthcare professionals, including nursing staff and support personnel.
2. Human Resource Oversight: Manage human resources effectively while fostering an environment that supports staff recruitment and retention. Implement organizational policies regarding hiring, promotions, and performance evaluations. Provide constructive feedback and facilitate professional development opportunities for staff.
3. Financial Oversight: Utilize clinical and financial data to establish and achieve budgetary objectives. Develop strategies to enhance revenue while managing personnel, supplies, and equipment resources efficiently. Assess the impact of fiscal changes on quality outcomes.
4. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal and external standards of nursing practice, including organizational policies and state regulations. Integrate current scientific evidence into practice standards.
5. Quality Improvement Initiatives: Lead and engage in quality improvement efforts targeting identified patient safety and care quality issues.
6. Educational Development: Create a supportive educational environment for staff training and orientation of new employees. Ensure annual competency evaluations are conducted to maintain high standards of care.
Education:
* Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
Licensure/Certification:
* Valid Registered Nurse license in North Carolina.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Experience:
* Minimum of two years of professional nursing experience in a tertiary care environment, with at least one year in a relevant area.
