We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse II to join our Critical Care Transport team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and transportation services to critically ill patients across eastern North Carolina.
Responsibilities- Provide competent clinical nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions, including cardiac arrest, STEMI, CVA, respiratory failure, sepsis, trauma, high-risk obstetrical, and pediatric patients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including neurologists, pulmonologists, emergency physicians, hospitalists, intensivists, and cardiologists, to provide a continuum of care between referring facilities and UNC REX Hospital.
- Utilize advanced life support and critical care skills to manage patients with complex medical conditions, including ventilator support and other advanced therapies.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, incorporating the patient's unique needs and goals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
- One (1) year of nursing experience, preferably in critical care or transport nursing.
