Construction Superintendent Job Description

Vitality is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee our high-end residential projects in San Jose, Palo Alto, and Atherton.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Construction Superintendent to manage all aspects of construction for luxury residential projects, from ground-breaking to final completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in luxury home construction, exceptional leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily on-site operations, including subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and quality control.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and building codes.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design specifications and high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and clients to ensure the vision for the project is realized.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, schedules, and budgets.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage on-site construction teams and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in residential construction, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role overseeing luxury home projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes specific to high-end residential properties.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple luxury residential projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
