The Atlanta Interventional Institute/Atlanta Fibroid Center, a world-renowned medical practice, is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Interventional Radiology.

We are looking for an experienced technologist with a passion for growth and a desire to take on more responsibilities, including supervising our state-of-the-art lab, managing equipment maintenance, and working directly with vendors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our Interventional Radiology specialist physicians in providing a variety of procedures for our patients, including treatment for Uterine Fibroids.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians in the treatment of patients while following established standards and practices.
  • Prepare the facility in accordance with procedural requirements, calibrate equipment, and prepare medicine and materials as required.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explain the procedure to the patient and/or family, and practice radiation protection techniques to limit exposure.
  • Record, process, and maintain patient treatment and data records, and prepare reports.
  • Clean and disinfect x-ray rooms and equipment in accordance with sterile procedures and standards.
  • Knowledge of ionic and non-ionic contrast media, and record, store, retrieve, and analyze data obtained during interventional procedures.
  • Understand HIPAA and patient privacy and confidentiality, and adhere to HIPAA policy and standards at all times.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiology technology.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification and active licenses in the state(s) in which employed.
  • 1 year of current experience within the last three years in a comparable job classification, with Cath Lab and/or IR experience preferable.
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within Radiology groups and labs/facilities.
  • CPR certification for Healthcare Workers or BCLS certification for Healthcare workers.
