LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Family Practice Community Care Mt. Pleasant

As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Geisinger Health System, you will provide primary clinical support to providers, patients, and their families to assist in diagnosis and treatment. You will follow up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing in the medical record for continuity and quality of care.
Promote a clean environment and meet qualifications to provide care for patients in specific age ranges on assigned clinical areas.
Job Duties:
- Obtain and document patient medical history, chief complaint, vital signs, and provide basic medical data base for provider.
- Assist provider in performance of minor surgical diagnostic procedures and ancillary diagnostic examinations.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and complete associated paperwork to expedite laboratory studies.
- Execute and document ongoing patient communication, prioritize communication to the provider, respond to patient questions and requests to ensure efficient use of provider time and timely response to patients needs.
- Administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a provider and per scope of practice.

Hiring Incentive:
This position qualifies for a $5,000 sign-on bonus paid over two years. Certain stipulations do apply.
Hours:
40 hours per week; Monday through Thursday 7am-7pm; Friday 7am-5p; Saturday 8-4:30p (Rotation)
