Key Responsibilities
  • Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing exceptional patient care, including preparing patients for exams and procedures, and assisting with medical procedures as needed.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and documenting patient information.
  • Assist with surgery, including preparing patients, maintaining asepsis, and monitoring anesthesia.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on the latest veterinary techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Certificate of completion from a NAVTA-approved Veterinary Assistant program, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • One year of related experience, with customer service skills preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a noisy environment.
