Work Schedule:
This position typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule, with alternating Saturday afternoons from 12 PM to 10:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting inspections, diagnosing issues, and repairing electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on heavy vehicles and equipment.
  • Performing preventive maintenance inspections (PMI) and troubleshooting to ensure effective repairs.
  • Completing necessary documentation using fleet maintenance software for vehicle repairs, parts usage, and repair time tracking.
  • Assisting in the repair and adjustment of equipment as needed.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the work area in accordance with corporate and OSHA standards.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • 3-5+ years of experience as a Class A or B mechanic.
  • Proficiency in computer diagnostics.
  • Experience in the waste management industry or heavy equipment dealership is advantageous.
  • Relevant trade school training is a plus.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and practices.
