About the Role:

This Strategic Sourcing Manager position plays a critical role in managing activities related to procurement, sourcing, supplier selection, product delivery specifications, and quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, with experience in developing and maintaining working relationships with supply chain partners. Additionally, the successful candidate will establish purchasing processes and procedures for the organization, evaluate technology needs, and procure essential technology products while ensuring purchases remain within budget and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage procurement activities, including sourcing, supplier selection, and product delivery specifications.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with supply chain partners.
  • Establish purchasing processes and procedures for the organization.
  • Evaluate technology needs and procure essential technology products.
  • Ensure purchases remain within budget and on schedule.
  • Manage inventory levels and receive requisitions, reviewing each item for specifications, quantity, and delivery requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to prioritize procurement needs.
  • Develop and investigate supply sources, and issue request proposals, quotations, or bids for those items not covered by any existing purchasing agreement.


Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a 4-year college degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or Economics, with 3-5 years of professional work experience, including a minimum of 1 year in a Strategic Sourcing role. The preferred candidate will have experience in Facilities and Operations (Indirect Spend) and be motivated to optimize and identify indirect spend cost savings opportunities and drive results. Additionally, the successful candidate will have familiarity with contract language and terms, be a self-motivated and collaborative individual contributor, and have a resilient and strategic mindset. The ideal candidate will also have highly detail-oriented analytical skills, the ability to organize, summarize, and present complex data and solutions, and effective communication and presentation skills. Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly in Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is also required.

Ingram Micro offers a competitive salary range of $78,124.80 per year, with opportunities for merit increases, annual bonus or sales incentives, and long-term incentives.
