Your Role
In this position, you will be tasked with overseeing and updating shipment orders through Kuehne+Nagel's sophisticated IT systems. Your focus will be on delivering a premium customer experience to our clients. These systems facilitate real-time tracking and visibility throughout the entire shipping process—from order initiation and collection to delivery and every significant milestone along the way. Furthermore, you will have access to tailored alerts and notifications based on established business protocols, ensuring prompt delivery and effective logistics oversight.
Your Responsibilities
- Monitor and trace shipments through alert management and verification at critical checkpoints.
- Engage in effective communication with Kuehne+Nagel partners (service providers and carriers) to consistently meet customer needs.
- Collaborate with Customer Relationship Managers, Customer Service, and the Business Development team to maximize client satisfaction.
- Identify inconsistencies and escalate concerns to management while keeping clients informed in coordination with Customer Service.
- Ensure compliance with all time and temperature requirements during transit.
- Share responsibility for managing the department's mailbox, including new bookings and internal inquiries.
- Ability to view computer screens at both close range and from a distance.
- Report directly to the Operational Shift Supervisor.
- Work schedule: 4 weekdays + 1 weekend day (2nd Shift 2pm-8pm).
Your Skills and Experiences
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics.
- Over 6 years of experience in Air Logistics or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in customer service.
