Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Coordinator to join our team at ProMedica. As a key member of our patient-centric care delivery model, you will play a vital role in ensuring a superior patient experience in clinical and non-clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Greeting and Registration: Immediately greet patients and visitors, register new patients, and verify patient demographics and insurance information.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate the scheduling of patient appointments, reschedule patients as requested by providers, and collect co-payments and outstanding balances.
  • Communication and Documentation: Answer and/or triage patient telephone calls, record complete and accurate messages, and document information accurately and promptly.
  • Medical Scribe and Administrative Support: Assist clinical staff and/or providers with outgoing phone calls, participate in practice staff meetings, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school graduate or equivalent, with a minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service or clerical setting.
  • Skills and Abilities: General computer and typing proficiency, independent judgment, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to promote a strong commitment towards achieving outstanding internal and external customer satisfaction.
