At Twitter, we're looking for a seasoned Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you'll be responsible for leading a team of site reliability engineers who work tirelessly to keep Twitter reliable and scalable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of site reliability engineers to achieve reliability outcomes for Twitter's services
  • Partner with engineering leadership to drive technical design discussions and ensure high-quality systems
  • Establish standard practices and processes for planning and prioritizing reliability work
  • Manage engineers across various time zones and regions
  • Coach and grow your team to become technical leaders

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • Experience managing services in a distributed, internet-scale *nix environment
  • Development experience in Python, Scala, Java, C, or C++
  • Demonstrable knowledge of TCP/IP and HTTP
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with systems programming (bash and shell tools)
  • Experience using containerization software such as Kubernetes, Docker, Mesos
  • Familiarity with systems management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.)
  • Comfortable working with on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, GCP)
