IES Communications is seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer I - Structured Cabling Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful installation and closeout of structured cabling projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Closeout and Quality Assurance: Oversee the closeout process, including redlining, testing, and lessons learned. Ensure that all infrastructure is installed to design and specification.
- Redline Management: Manage and submit redlines for closeout, working closely with engineering teams to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Test Audits: Conduct thorough test audits to verify that all testing projects match prints. Ensure that all testing projects are created and available to the team as soon as areas are ready.
- Lessons Learned and Warranties: Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to update lessons learned documents and ensure that warranties are completed accurately and on time.
- Product Submittals: Complete product submittals, verifying BOMs with POs and obtaining product sheets as required.
- Label Management: Assist in printing labels for installation teams, ensuring that all labels are printed before installation to minimize downtime.
- RFI Management: Oversee the management of RFIs, including conforming and submitting RFIs as a collaborative effort with engineering teams.
- Design and Shop Drawings: Verify and brainstorm areas of interest, reviewing and submitting design and shop drawings into BIM360, and keeping up with revisions and hyperlinks.
- Education: High School diploma or GED equivalency; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience: At least 3-4 years of commercial low-voltage/structured cabling experience.
- Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project). Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
