Job Summary:

The Field Engineer will be responsible for installing and operating low-voltage/structured cabling systems and equipment. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems in a senior service support role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and operate low-voltage/structured cabling systems and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems
  • Test and verify system components and functions
  • Create shop drawings and submittals for new project kick-off
  • Manage technical work in the field with minimal supervision
  • Assist with project installation and provide advanced support to field staff and project manager
  • Quality-check projects, test equipment, and create punch lists
  • Assist sales staff with product and system demonstrations
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalency; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 3-4 years of commercial low-voltage/structured cabling experience
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to effectively read, write, and give oral presentations
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
