We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Specialist to join our team at TEKsystems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in structured cabling and network infrastructure installation.

• Install and terminate low-voltage devices, including cable trays, j-hooks, and D-rings.
• Build and install network closets, including backboards, cross-connects, racks, and patch panels.
• Perform fire-stopping procedures on fire walls and install sleeves and cable through sleeves and core penetration.
• Terminate and test cable installations to ensure proper functionality.
• Complete all necessary paperwork, including timesheets, material transfers, and work orders.
• Adhere to and participate in all company, customer, and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year experience in telecommunications or related technical field.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Basic construction industry knowledge preferred.
• Ability to meet company minimum driving standards preferred.

• Data center experience.
• J hooks and cable terminations.
• Color codes and management skills.
• Training and low-voltage experience.
• Wiring, telecom, installation, and cable testing.
