SAIC is seeking a Project Manager to deliver support in a dynamic and fast-paced environment that significantly influences the mission of our clients. This role is pivotal in assisting executive-level personnel by providing a comprehensive range of support services. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver, capable of identifying and anticipating needs while delivering innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Assess and refine programs through Requirements Definition, Strategic Planning, and Stakeholder Analysis.
- Develop essential documents such as Project Charters, Project Management Plans, and After Action Reports.
- Employ Agile Scrum methodologies and risk management tools to improve project tracking, coordination, and Critical Path Analysis.
- Facilitate workshops and briefings, applying best practices in Project Processes and Program Management for Government audiences.
- Consult on the development of project Metrics and Performance Standards that align with the Sponsor's Strategic Intent.
- Support project managers and staff in applying project management principles, including Project Status assessment, Reporting, Progress Tracking, and Risk Analysis.
- Oversee project portfolios and PMR processes, assisting project managers in creating impactful presentations for executives.
- Directly aid project managers in executing their programs, preparing documentation, and collaborating with stakeholders to provide integrated solutions.
- Maintain and organize information repositories, including documentation and master schedules.
- Prepare and revise profiles and develop contingency planning documents.
Process Improvement:
- Lead initiatives for business improvement and organizational processes to drive critical programs.
- Conduct process analysis and monitor/control processes for enhancement.
- Support the improvement of Project Management Review, Agile Scrum, and Project Deep Dive processes.
- Utilize analytical methodologies to identify areas for improvement in both new and established programs.
- Prepare and present needs assessments, briefings, and reports.
- Apply business process tools to streamline initiatives and integrate various rules and technologies.
- Use subject matter expertise to address strategic challenges and develop innovative solutions.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops related to Sponsor initiatives for audiences at the executive level.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI W POLY clearance.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree with ten (10) years of relevant experience; Master’s degree with eight (8) years; or PhD/JD with five (5) years of experience.
- PMI-PMP Certification.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Visio, Project, Publisher, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel).
- Extensive knowledge of best practices in Project Management, Risk Management, and Strategic Planning.
Desired Qualifications:
- Lean Six Sigma Certification.
- Certification as an Agile Scrum Master.
- Experience in Financial Management and Planning.
- Familiarity with analytical tools such as COGNOS, PARIS, BASIS, BCR, and SLA Applications.
- Operational or analytical production experience.
- Knowledge of various software and methodologies related to project management and process improvement.
- Proven ability to quickly adapt to customer needs and communicate effectively.
