Key Responsibilities- Business Development: Identify and explore new business opportunities, unmet customer needs, and technology opportunities to fill the pipeline.
- Team Leadership: Effectively lead cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Customer Support: Support the commercial teams by providing customer support as the go-to technical leader for films in medical device, food, and industrial applications.
- Project Management: Lead and execute customer-specific projects by aligning and delivering on expectations for timelines, scope, and costs.
- Process Development: Define and manage project activities for commercial release of new products and corresponding manufacturing processes while meeting expectations for sustainable, efficient, repeatable, and reproducible manufacturing operations.
- Quality Assurance: Translate customer needs into quantifiable CTQs that can be used to scope projects, report progress to targets, and create actionable plans to meet customer requirements.
- Verification and Validation: Develop verification and validation plans including the protocols, test methods, and reports for execution of design verification and validation testing.
- Risk Management: Apply risk management best practices to the development process by identifying hazards, estimating and evaluating associated risks, controlling these risks, and monitoring the effectiveness of risk controls.
- Communication: Collaborate and communicate effectively in a cross-functional organization. Use strong presentation skills to present technical information to audiences with diverse backgrounds and connect technical concepts to business outcomes.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years industry experience in polymer extrusion and converting, with 4+ years in leadership roles.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability applying tools within Project Management, Design of Experiment, Design for Lean Six Sigma and Statistical Analysis. Track record of being resourceful and innovative to pull together the tools, equipment, and resources, to drive projects across the finish line.
- Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Engineering discipline, Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Demonstrated ability to complete product design transfers, High degree of understanding of ISO 13485 requirements for Design Controls, Knowledge of applicable standards for EtO sterilization.
Works with minimal supervision from manager. Requires light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities.
