Job Overview

The Medical Imaging Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality radiology services while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This position involves:

  • Conducting Radiology Procedures: Executing imaging procedures as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results.
  • Fluoroscopy Capability: Proficient in performing fluoroscopy to assist in diagnostic evaluations.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Assisting in the upkeep of necessary equipment and supplies within the radiology department.
  • Documentation: Maintaining thorough records of patient testing information for compliance and reference.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Performing all radiology tasks in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Work Environment: Contributing to a clean and safe working environment for both staff and patients.
  • Flexibility: Demonstrating adaptability in work hours to meet departmental needs.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Completing other relevant duties as assigned by the Radiology Manager.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensure: Valid State Radiologic Technology license.
  • Certification: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using C-Arm for imaging and knowledgeable in computer systems such as PACS, MS Word, and Excel.
  • Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting and assisting patients for proper positioning.
  • Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Radiology Manager.
