At SpaceX, we're pushing the boundaries of space technology to make humanity a multi-planetary species. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in developing innovative solutions for our launch vehicles and spacecraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop manufacturing processes for structural assembly and integration of the Falcon launch vehicle
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex production challenges
  • Work with design engineers to evaluate designs for manufacturability and implementation in a rapidly evolving production environment
  • Develop and refine floor layouts, capacity models, and product flow analysis to ensure on-time vehicle delivery to manifest
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace, materials, or industrial engineering
  • 1+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or production (internship and school projects experience qualifies)
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Master's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace, materials, or industrial engineering
  • Experience with the build, assembly, or integration of large mechanical assemblies
  • Knowledge of metallic manufacturing techniques, processes, and equipment related to welding, metal forming, fastening, drilling, bonding, and automation
  • Mechanical component and/or tooling design and analysis experience using 3D CAD software
Additional Requirements:
  • Must be willing to work 2nd shift (~Monday - Friday: 3pm - 2am)
  • Willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
Compensation and Benefits:

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
