About the Role

The Front Desk Associate is a critical member of our team, responsible for providing exceptional patient experiences and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical center.

Key responsibilities include greeting patients, collecting information, answering questions, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance information.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and guests, and provide a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Conduct check-in and check-out processes via Electronic Health Record.
  • Aid patients with completion of required paperwork.
  • Secure patient information and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Schedule and triage appointment requests for urgency, according to approved protocols.
  • Make reminder calls to patients for upcoming appointments.
  • Collect co-payments, per patient's health plan requirements.
  • Complete insurance verification prior to patients' appointments.
  • Answer all phone calls and route to appropriate personnel.
  • Update electronic health record with current information.
  • Consult medical assistant or licensed clinician for clinical decision making, as needed.
Requirements
  • Office administrative/receptionist/clerical/customer service experience in a fast-paced, heavy phones environment.
  • Professional demeanor and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Resourcefulness in problem-solving and ability to take and follow through with assigned tasks.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with an electronic health record.
  • Experience in processing referral authorizations.
  • Medical office or hospital patient access registration experience highly desirable.
  • Experienced working in medically underserved/culturally diverse communities.
