About the Role

This Development Assistant role at House of Hope Inc. involves managing fundholder and volunteer relationships, ensuring delivery of exceptional donor and volunteer services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend development planning meetings and participate in strategic discussions.
  • Manage the gift acknowledgement process, producing personalized donor letters.
  • Collaborate with the Finance department on incoming gift processes.
  • Assist in researching, identifying, analyzing, and recommending grant funding opportunities from government agencies.
  • Manage the grant database, funder research files, grant application deadlines, and reporting schedules for tracking grant information.
  • Perform various clerical tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with experience in development preferred.
  • Experience working with substance abuse populations is beneficial.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and tasks.
  • Basic mathematical skills and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications.
