Role Overview:
As the Procurement Operations Manager, you will oversee and coordinate the functions of The Hope Group's Purchasing and Operations department, which is dedicated to the management and acquisition of inventory across all profit centers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Direct and supervise the activities of the purchasing and operations team, ensuring effective delegation of tasks and projects.
2. Collaborate with the Director of Operations to establish a comprehensive inventory stocking strategy and control measures.
3. Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers, identifying new sources as necessary and recommending consolidation of existing suppliers for optimal benefits.
4. Negotiate pricing for non-distributor items, considering total costs including price, delivery, and inventory carrying costs.
5. Manage the processes and personnel responsible for the accurate and timely procurement of inventory for all profit centers.
6. Oversee the procurement of office supplies, equipment, and other expense items, ensuring timely execution of returns and reconciliation of vendor credits.
7. Ensure effective management of agent order processing and reconciliation, along with proactive vendor expediting.
Inventory Management:
Maintain and enhance all processes and records related to purchasing and inventory control programs, including bills of materials, agent orders, returns, vendor credits, and warranties.
Continuous Improvement:
Formulate, uphold, and refine policies and procedures related to purchasing and inventory management, focusing on preventing excess inventory and optimizing inventory turnover, fill rates, and service levels.
Support and Compliance:
Assist in maintaining ISO compliance and support the continuous improvement of The Hope Group's Business Management System (BMS) policies and processes.
Additional Duties:
Perform other related tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
