Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

Pacific Coast Speech Services, a member of the Point Quest Group, is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating language and speech disorders in children from birth to 22 years old.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Speech Language Pathologist to work in a school-based setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in speech-language pathology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete assessments and evaluations to identify students' level of functioning and ability to communicate.
  • Develop treatment plans in coordination with the classroom teacher and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Instruct and consult with interdisciplinary team members, as well as the family/guardians, to generalize skills taught in the school setting.
  • Collect data on student progress; document student activities; prepare reports and/or service logs using data management systems.

Requirements:

  • California Speech Pathologist license (SLP) or eligible for a CA preliminary RPE license.
  • Experience in school-based settings preferred; willing to mentor.
  • DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance required.
  • Computer-literate; knowledge of special education computer programs preferred.
