Position Title:
BUDGET ANALYST II
Pay Grade: 7

Reporting To:
Director of Finance and Purchasing
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Classification Status: Classified

Role Purpose:

This position is responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the organization, which includes conducting audits, managing inventory, processing payments, and assisting in the preparation of the annual budget.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and manage monthly and annual inventory records.
  • Procure quotes and place orders for necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Monitor grant equipment inventory continuously.
  • Review financial reports and ensure accuracy.
  • Conduct audits of financial activities.
  • Prepare various financial reports and analyses.
  • Assist with travel requests and employee reimbursements.
  • Provide support during staff absences.
  • Prepare quarterly expenditure reports for management.
  • Ensure quality assurance for financial reports and budgets.
  • Assist in developing fiscal policies and procedures.
  • Manage account closures and check reissues through financial software.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in financial accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Five years of experience in financial accounting.

Competencies:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong decision-making abilities, stress tolerance, and effective communication skills. They will be able to work collaboratively within a team environment and manage conflicts effectively.
