About the Role:
The facility focuses on the assembly and fabrication of cold box systems, pressure vessels, and various cryogenic apparatus utilized in the air separation and hydrocarbon sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of workshop standards and enhancements.
- Provide guidance on assembly techniques, appropriate tools, and correct procedures.
- Help in creating and delivering structured training materials.
- Work autonomously across all shop areas alongside fitters and welders to elevate quality standards and troubleshoot issues.
- Identify opportunities for technological advancements.
- Make training suggestions to management.
- Submit follow-up reports to production supervisors regarding identified fitting deficiencies.
- Quickly recognize and address fit-up challenges.
- Foster a culture of safety, honesty, and integrity in the workplace.
- Be prepared to work at heights of up to 75 feet.
- Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma and/or completion of a technical program.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a related field.
- Proficiency in shop mathematics is preferred; education may be substituted with extensive experience.
Professional Skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of departmental operations and safety protocols.
- Strong knowledge of shop standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels while maintaining composure and objectivity.
- Self-motivated, innovative thinker, dependable, and capable of working with minimal oversight.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to small groups.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with software such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Required classification level of Assembly Technician A1.
