Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and service. You will assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including the preparation and dispensing of medications, and provide support in the pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications
  • Provide support in the pharmacy department, including answering customer questions and resolving issues
  • Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers
Requirements
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment
  • Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens
  • Prefer good math skills and computer skills
