Job Summary

Walgreens is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
  • Process prescriptions, including verifying patient information, checking for potential interactions, and ensuring accurate labeling.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records, including patient information, medication lists, and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; PTCB certification a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly and safely in the pharmacy.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy in handling cash and operating a cash register.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
