Job Summary

The University of Miami Health System, UHealth, Information Technology Department is seeking a full-time Workday Business Manager to lead IT and business-side activities, including analysis, design, conversion, testing, training, documentation, and go-live support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on how to best leverage system capabilities to satisfy specific client needs.
  • Diagnose, document, and resolve complex grants management issues from a functional, administrative, and operational perspective.
  • Participate in EBS projects with a focus on area of specialty, involving strategy, support, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) optimization related to Information Technology (IT) operations, business processes, security, and data integrity for the Workday applications.
  • Review and map area of specialty's business processes.
  • Review business processes and advise business on system services available within the Workday application.
  • Identify and communicate findings to senior management.
  • Perform business analysis and compose clear, comprehensive functional requirements.
  • Assist the testing Workday release process owners in planning and executing end-to-end testing.
  • Assist the Change Lead and process owners in developing user documentation, including FAQs, Job Aides, Operational Guides, Online Content, etc.
  • Establish and continuously assess the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles.
  • Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
  • Ability to establish department goals and objectives that support the strategic plan.
  • Ability to effectively plan, delegate, and/or supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others.
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
