About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Gaines Investment Trust. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties and providing exceptional service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs at various properties, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs.
  • Diagnose and Resolve Issues: Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Complete Work Orders: Complete work orders promptly and efficiently, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Conduct Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular preventative maintenance to prevent equipment failures and ensure the smooth operation of our properties.
  • Assist with Turnover Process: Assist with the turnover process for vacant units, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.
  • Maintain Cleanliness and Appearance: Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of pools, common areas, and grounds.
  • Communicate with Residents: Communicate effectively with residents to address maintenance requests and provide updates.
  • Coordinate with Property Management: Coordinate with property management to prioritize repairs and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Teams: Collaborate with maintenance teams, vendors, and contractors for specialized repairs.
  • Participate in On-Call Rotation: Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies.
Requirements
  • Must Currently Live in North Dallas/Plano Area: Must currently live in the North Dallas/Plano area with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • HVAC and CPO Certifications: Must have HVAC and CPO certifications.
  • 2+ Years of Experience: Must have 2+ years of experience in a related maintenance role.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: Must provide top-notch customer service to residents and teams.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet company goals and deadlines.
  • Hands-On Experience: Must have hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical, troubleshooting appliances, pool, heating/air, basic carpentry, and painting.
  • Time Management and Multi-Tasking Skills: Must have strong time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Available for On-Call Duty: Must be available for on-call duty.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Must have effective communication skills with residents, onsite staff, and management.
  • English Fluency: Must be fluent in English.
