We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Wellington Regional Medical Center. As a Per Diem Days RN, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver high-quality services.
Responsibilities- Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
- Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
- Recognize the signs and symptoms of stroke and call a stroke alert overhead.
- Perform and document the NIHSS and bedside swallow, assist with telemedicine consult, and physician examination/evaluation of thrombolytic therapy inclusion/exclusion criteria.
- Mix and administer thrombolytic therapy if the patient is deemed a candidate.
- Prepare the patient for Endovascular treatment as indicated.
- Assume patient care of the stroke alert.
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
- Prefer one year full-time or three years part-time experience in an acute care setting.
- BLS (current upon hire).
- ACLS, and/or required specialty training or course completion (or obtained within three months of employment) in the required specialty.
- Current Florida nursing license.
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
