We are seeking a skilled Prep Cook to join our team at Farmer Boys. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients and basics for our menu items in a consistent and efficient manner.

In this role, you will work closely with our line cooks to ensure that our guests receive high-quality food quickly and efficiently. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation procedures at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare ingredients according to Farmer Boys specifications, procedures, and weights
  • Ensure correct portioning, sizing, and freshness of prepared ingredients
  • Operate, clean, and sharpen all appropriate food preparation equipment
  • Maintain stock and cleanliness of required work areas
  • Follow the work schedule as posted unless a change is arranged with the Manager in Charge
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
  • 0-3 years of cooking or preparation experience in a restaurant or food service establishment
  • Ability to take direction, read and comprehend written instructions
  • Physical requirements include standing (up to 4 hours at a time), walking, bending, and stooping
  • Lifting up to 65 pounds approximately 99% of the time
Estimated Salary

$18-$22 per hour, depending on experience
