Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Placement Coordinator RN to join our team at Covenant Health. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a critical role in assessing and determining the clinical placement needs of our acute care patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the clinical status of patients and determine the type of acute care services needed to provide safe and effective care.
  • Determine bed capacity and assign a bed location that meets the patient's needs.
  • Implement bed control area protocol if a bed on an appropriate unit is not available.
  • Collaborate with nursing, medical staff, and bed control/admitting departments to coordinate patient flow and bed facilitation.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient flow and patient placement, considering financial and regulatory issues.
Requirements
  • Texas Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • Relevant progressive clinical and administrative experience.
  • Cross-trained with House Supervisor.
