Position Overview:
The Clinical Pharmacist plays a pivotal role in delivering clinical pharmacy services to patients while collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. This position involves providing guidance and supervision to pharmacy technicians and support staff in the distribution, dispensing, and compounding of both sterile and non-sterile medications, ensuring compliance with all relevant accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical pharmacy services, including renal/hepatic dosage adjustments, pharmacokinetic dosing, anticoagulation monitoring, total parenteral nutrition, and antimicrobial stewardship.
- Provide drug information to patients and healthcare professionals, including medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff.
- Oversee and assign tasks to technicians and support staff to ensure efficient prescription/order verification, preparation, and distribution of medications and supplies.
- Review and interpret medication orders, laboratory results, and other clinically relevant data to ensure safe and effective therapeutic outcomes, documenting interventions as necessary.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to manage and recommend drug therapy regimens that prioritize patient and family-centered care.

This role requires strong critical thinking skills, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively within a team with minimal supervision. The Clinical Pharmacist must thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond appropriately to challenges.
