We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Attorney Advisor to join our team at the Department of the Navy. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide expert advice and guidance on civil and administrative law matters, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities- Provide legal advice and services on civil and administrative law, government ethics, federal litigation, professional responsibility, military justice, and general military law.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to provide guidance on complex legal issues.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform legal decisions and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies and external partners.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
- New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
- Males born after must be registered for Selective Service.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
- Must be able to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
- Experience must demonstrate the following:
- Providing legal advice and services in the fields of civil and administrative law, government ethics, federal litigation, professional responsibility, military justice, and general military law.
This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
Several vacancies may be filled.
A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
