We are looking for a dedicated Site Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead the formulation, organization, and execution of environmental and health/safety programs. This position plays a crucial role within the site leadership team, ensuring both employee involvement and adherence to regulatory standards as per the Operational Excellence Management System.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State, Local, and Internal regulations and reporting obligations.
- Work in partnership with corporate EHSQ Program Managers to obtain expert advice when required.
- Drive EHSQ initiatives within the designated facility.
- Supervise and manage EHS specialists who report directly to this role.
- Oversee the administrative functions of quality laboratory technicians.
- Identify and mitigate potential hazards or compliance challenges.
- Conduct assessments of job hazards and investigate incidents.
- Facilitate the execution of site-specific corrective and preventive measures.
- Ensure that Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) processes are in line with OEMS standards.
- Coordinate and support corporate compliance initiatives.
- Monitor and manage training related to environmental, health, and safety.
- Administer the management of regulated and hazardous waste at the site.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is advantageous.
- A minimum of 10 years of pertinent experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Thorough understanding of OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, and EPA regulations and reporting standards.
- Familiarity with EHS-related ISO frameworks and Process Safety Management (PSM).
- Able to manage a diverse team of salaried, hourly, and professional personnel.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exhibits confidence, positivity, and strong organizational capabilities.
- Highly reliable, organized, and skilled in system implementation.
- Willingness to work outside of standard hours and travel for brief periods as necessary.
This role is essential for driving impactful environmental, health, and safety initiatives within the organization.
