We are currently seeking a full-time Forklift Field Service Technician / Mechanic. This position operates on a first shift schedule, Monday through Friday, and is hourly (not flat rate). Field Technicians are provided with a company service vehicle, which they can take home, along with a fuel card. The main responsibilities include:
  • Conducting preventative maintenance on customer forklifts and other material handling equipment
  • Diagnosing and repairing various types of customer equipment
  • Completing repair jobs efficiently and professionally
  • Delivering exceptional customer service
  • Managing workloads independently
  • Accurately completing and submitting all required documentation
  • Maintaining responsibility for the company vehicle and on-board parts inventory
  • Incorporating company principles into daily tasks
  • Performing additional duties as assigned
  • Ensuring consistent and reliable attendance, ready for work at the designated start time
We encourage our Technicians to engage in our in-house paid training program, enabling them to enhance their skills in diagnosis and troubleshooting, and advance their careers as Technicians.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of two years of forklift repair experience is preferred, including military experience with relevant MOS or NEC codes
  • Field experience is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of electric and liquid propane units
  • Excellent mechanical skills
  • Must possess own tools
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license required for company vehicle operation
  • Familiarity with computer programs such as HYPASS and Hyster TKC training software
  • Language Skills - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Mathematical Skills - Basic: Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and apply them in practical situations.
  • Reasoning Ability - Intermediate: Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions and solve problems in standardized situations.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands; frequently will talk/hear; occasionally will sit, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Vision: No special vision requirements.
  • Regularly lift up to 10 pounds; frequently lift 11 to 25 pounds; occasionally lift from 26 to 100 pounds or more.
  • Work Environment: Regularly work near moving mechanical parts; frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions; occasionally work in wet or humid conditions, extreme temperatures, and risk of electrical shock.
