Position Overview:
Advocate Aurora Health is in search of a dedicated and skilled CT Imaging Specialist for a per diem role. This position involves working in a dynamic environment, ensuring high-quality imaging services are delivered to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
As a CT Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for:
1) Conducting CT scans and reconstructions in accordance with established clinical protocols and departmental procedures.
2) Accurately positioning patients and utilizing proper immobilization techniques to ensure optimal imaging results.
3) Applying appropriate technical factors and protocols based on patient history and clinical indications to achieve the best diagnostic outcomes while minimizing radiation exposure.
4) Performing advanced imaging techniques such as CT angiography and 3D reconstructions, utilizing specialized software for enhanced radiologist interpretation.
5) Following the CT Department workflow meticulously, including initiating exams, selecting appropriate rooms, and ensuring all images and data are accurately processed and archived.
6) Administering contrast media through IV initiation, adhering to departmental policies and safety standards.
7) Engaging with patients to explain procedures, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their comfort throughout the imaging process.
8) Collaborating with radiologists to tailor imaging protocols to meet specific patient needs.

Documentation and Compliance:
Your role will also include:
1) Collecting and documenting comprehensive patient histories to facilitate accurate exam interpretations.
2) Maintaining precise records of patient information, including any reactions to contrast materials and relevant medical history.
3) Ensuring compliance with safety standards set by accrediting organizations and maintaining inventory levels of medical supplies.
4) Participating in quality assurance activities and reporting any equipment malfunctions promptly.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
1) A valid ARRT registry and IEMA license.
2) CPR certification within three months of hire.
3) IV certification within three months of hire.
4) A commitment to ongoing education and professional development in the field of CT imaging.

Physical Requirements:
The role requires:
1) Flexibility in work hours, including weekends and holidays.
2) The ability to lift patients and equipment as necessary, adhering to safety protocols.
