Job Summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic evaluation and treatment to patients, as well as psychiatric consultation, diagnosis, and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of inmates referred by medical and clinical services staff.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management and individual and/or group therapy.
  • Approve and sign treatment plans, and monitor their implementation and efficiency.
  • Provide in-service education to site staff as needed.
  • Attend training and meetings as required.
Requirements
  • Graduate of medical school and completion of an appropriate psychiatric residency.
  • Licensed to practice in the state of Georgia and certified by the Office of Behavioral Health to provide psychiatric services in a licensed inpatient unit.
  • Current DEA number.
