Radiation Oncology Dosimetrist

The University of California, San Francisco is seeking a highly skilled Treatment Planning Specialist to join our team in the Department of Radiation Oncology. As a Treatment Planning Specialist, you will play a critical role in designing external beam treatment plans for patient treatments using a treatment planning computer, computer support system, and computer quality improvement verifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design external beam treatment plans for patient treatments
- Use a treatment planning computer, computer support system, and computer quality improvement verifications
- Work under the technological supervision of the Chief Dosimetrist and the direct supervision of the Physics Manager
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of nurses, therapists, dosimetrists, physics, and physicians to provide comprehensive radiation treatment
Requirements:
- BS in applied science
- Five years of work experience as a dosimetrist reflecting technological skills reflecting the knowledge of patient treatments on a linear accelerator with supporting computerized record and verify systems
- Command of Medical Dosimetry (CMD) board eligibility
Preferred Qualifications:
- Satisfactory completion of formal dosimetry training
- Command of Medical Dosimetry (CMD) board eligibility
