Job Title: Medical Office LPN
Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled LPN to join our team at ECHN. As a Medical Office LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care, working closely with our healthcare team to ensure seamless delivery of services.
Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications, vaccinations, and treatments in accordance with nursing standards
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during treatment, examination, and testing of patients
- Observe, report, and record patients' condition and reactions to medications and treatments
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness
- Respond to and/or anticipate emergency situations in a calm, efficient manner
- Document all sample medication dispensed in the medical record
- Keep inventory of medical supplies and report them to the Office Coordinator/Practice Manager for reorder
- Report malfunction of medical equipment to the Office Coordinator/Practice Manager
- Assist physician/practitioner with office surgical procedures
- Prepare specimens and paperwork to submit to the reference lab for testing as directed by the physician or midlevel
- Respond to incoming patient treatment-related phone calls
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions
- Oversee vaccine program following State guidelines
- Maintain/review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information
- Maintain work area in a neat and organized manner
- Maintain appropriate documentation of compliance with CLIA regulations
- Participate in Patient Centered Medical Home Care Team collaborations
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA guidelines
- May be required to perform other duties as requested by Management
Requirements:
We are looking for a candidate with a graduate degree from an accredited LPN program, current licensure in the state of Connecticut, and experience working in a medical facility. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced confidential medical environment.
