Job Title: Registered Nurse Home Visitor

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Home Visitor. As a Home Visitor, you will play a critical role in supporting families with newborns in the New Mexico region.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse Home Visitor will provide home visiting services to families with newborns, assessing their physical and psychosocial well-being, and connecting them with community resources to support their needs. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families and contribute to the health and well-being of the New Mexico community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide home visiting services to families with newborns, assessing their physical and psychosocial well-being
  • Connect families with community resources to support their needs
  • Work collaboratively with the Family Connects team to ensure families receive comprehensive support
  • Document client observations and activities in real-time using a computerized record system
  • Attend weekly team meetings, clinical supervision, and other meetings as required
Requirements:
  • Current New Mexico Registered Nursing license or eligibility for licensure
  • Spanish language proficiency
  • Clinical experience related to domestic violence, substance abuse, and/or depression
  • One or more years of experience in child/maternal health, social work, or other related field
  • Certified Lactation Educator or Consultant
Working Conditions:

Services are provided primarily in the home, but may also include clinics, auxiliary, and community sites. Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Services are provided in a clinic with diverse racial and ethnic populations, many who do not speak the English language. Occasional work outside of normal work schedule to attend training and community initiatives. Travel required.
