Speech and Language Pathology Substitute Specialist

Allegany County Special Education/Student Services Department is seeking a qualified Speech and Language Pathology Substitute to provide coverage for Speech Language Pathologists in the event of absence. The ideal candidate will have the ability to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) within educational settings, work with individual and/or small groups of children, and meet the requirements for ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence and licensure by the Maryland Department of Health, Board of Examiners for Audiology, Hearing Aid Dealers and Speech Language Pathology. The Speech and Language Pathology Substitute will be responsible for providing coverage for SLPs in the event of absence, including implementing IEPs, working with individual and/or small groups of children, and meeting the requirements for ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence and licensure by the Maryland Department of Health, Board of Examiners for Audiology, Hearing Aid Dealers and Speech Language Pathology. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have a strong commitment to providing high-quality services to students with special needs.
