About the Role

The Atlanta International School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support our Primary School students. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the lead teacher to create a seamless learning experience for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement engaging curricular activities.
  • Lead small groups of students in learning activities and provide individual support as needed.
  • Assist with classroom management, including supervising students during recess and lunch.
  • Help prepare classroom materials and provide feedback to students on their learning growth.
Requirements
  • A commitment to equity, inclusion, and inquiry-based pedagogy.
  • An interest in understanding the principles of second language acquisition.
  • Flexibility and a collaborative approach to teaching.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in a Primary School setting.
  • High degree of proficiency in another language, particularly German, Spanish, French, or Chinese.
