We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Perioperative team as a Float Specialist. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and staff.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
- Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting teamwork, respect, and open communication.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of West Virginia or a compact state.
- One year of experience in a perioperative setting, preferably in a surgical services environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Specialty certification in perioperative nursing.
- Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare technology.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
