Quality Assurance Engineer II, Auto Software

As a Quality Assurance Engineer II at Amazon, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our automotive products. You will work closely with development teams to understand customer usage models and develop test plans and suites that approximate real-world environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive all phases of testing, including creating test plans, writing and executing test cases, and promoting continuous improvements to the quality assurance processes.
  • Work closely with engineers, business owners, and customer service professionals throughout the development and testing lifecycle.
  • Consult with and advise project management and development teams on technical issues related to planning, developing, implementing, and modifying testing procedures.
  • Provide regular, detailed status reports on project progress, including test cases executed, bugs discovered, and bugs fixed.

Basic qualifications include:

  • 6+ years of quality assurance engineering experience.
  • Experience in automation testing.
  • Experience in manual testing.
  • Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium.
  • Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $102,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
