Job Title: Quality Inspector II

First Tek is seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector II to join our team. As a Quality Inspector II, you will be responsible for performing visual and mechanical inspections of electronic and electromechanical assemblies and subassemblies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform visual/mechanical inspections of electronic and electromechanical subassemblies and assemblies (in-process, final and shipping), as specified by Inspection Instructions, Workmanship Manual and/or Engineering Documentation.
  • Review/audit test data results against Test Procedure, Engineering Documentation and/or Customer requirements and assures compliance.
  • Prepare and complete all necessary documentation (records) for reporting acceptance/rejection of items inspected and/or tested.
  • Prepare reports documenting results of special inspections, tests and problems; documenting trends on performance (visual, mechanical and functional).
  • Identify basic areas of nonconformance to provide data to Quality and Reliability Engineering.
Requirements:
  • 2 years Aerospace experience.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 standard.
  • Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.
  • Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field.
  • 2 - 3 years or more of relevant experience.
Preferred Skills:
  • Basic or proficient computer skills to include Microsoft and other various software applications.
  • Skilled at measuring and using test equipment as prescribed by job assignment.
  • Experience working with engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketches.
