Operations Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to oversee the manufacturing of products at our Juarez 1 and Juarez 2 sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial management, lean implementation, and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the recruitment, hiring, directing, and coaching of manufacturing site staff.
- Ensure effective and efficient use of facilities and staff to meet business KPIs.
- Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
- Handle employee discipline in accordance with company policy.
- Responsible for all plant operations and oversee the manufacture of products to ensure safety, production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Review production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met.
- Ensure a healthy and safe working environment and compliance with federal and state regulations through collaboration with environmental, health, and safety staff.
- Assist the Regional Director with long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new and advanced technology.
- Drive the deployment of systems to meet Lean Principles and methodologies.
- Identify and share training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills.
- Organize departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations.
- Work with the Finance manager to develop an operating budget.
- Deliver progress and production reports to executive team members as requested.
- Supervise equipment purchase, maintenance, and layout.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and managerial skills.
- Experience with new plant startups.
- In-depth experience in lean implementation.
- Extensive supply chain management experience.
- Strong experience in flow and materials management.
- Thorough understanding of the policies and practices used in the manufacturing division.
- Ability to set long-term goals and communicate them to others.
- Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering; MBA degree desirable.
- At least seven years of experience at Director level in industrial management.
- Lean and six sigma implementation experience.
- ISO implementation experience.
- Experience in consumer products (complete finish goods).
- 100% bilingual (Spanish/English).
